How To Make Croatian Cabbage Salad
If you haven't tried Croatian Cabbage Salad, you don't know what you're missing. Simple but moorish. It was a staple in my father's childhood where he grew up in a rural village near Slunj and the stunning Plitvice Lakes in Croatia.
In fact my father's nic-name was "Cabbage" in Croatian because he ate so much of it, but I don't think that was by choice.
Below is a picture of where he came from in Croatia. Gorgeous isn't it!

What you need:
Method:
1) Shred the cabbage finely (watch those fingers)
2) Put in a big mixing bowl
3) Add 1/2 cup of oil
4) Add Tbs of vinegar (I like Apple Cider Vinegar with the mother in it)
5) Salt and Pepper to taste
Mix to combine and put in fridge until ready.
This is great to serve with any protein of your choice, such as lamb, chicken or cevapi (beef and pork rissoles) and roasted potatoes.
